## Why We Started DraftPilot

Before founding DraftPilot, the team founded Lexoo, which sold to Kalexius in early 2024. Over 10 years, the team negotiated thousands of vendor contracts, NDAs, and SaaS sales contracts on behalf of in-house legal teams.

In-house legal teams are stretched against aggressive timelines, which is where AI can do the heavy lifting on standard parts of every contract and free lawyers to focus on the tricky bits and the human relationships.

DraftPilot is being co-created with an advisory panel of in-house legal teams that get early access to new features and can influence product direction.

### Daniel van Binsbergen

CEO and Co-Founder. Before DraftPilot, Daniel was CEO at Lexoo for over 10 years and previously a Senior Associate at De Brauw. He also writes Daniel's In-house Legal Newsletter.

### Chris O'Sullivan

CTO and Co-Founder. Before DraftPilot, Chris was CTO and co-founder of Lexoo for 10 years and previously worked as a programmer for companies including Forward Partners, BBC Audio and Music, and Aegis Media.
