Use the Usage page and track escalations
Last updated: 2 October 2026
The Usage page helps authorised users understand how their organisation is using DraftPilot. Available metrics and filters depend on your role and configuration.

Review activity
Open the Usage page in the browser. The default reporting period is the previous three months, but you can change it.
The overview shows playbooks created, total reviews, AI Chat activity, time spent by the team and the three most-used playbooks. The views across the top let you inspect actions by user and reviews by user. Hover over the information icon beside an action to see what it means.
You can also order reviews by playbook to see how often each playbook has been used. Other views show time spent, support requests, playbooks created and the workspace in which each playbook sits.
The page can help you identify:
- which users are active;
- which playbooks are used most often;
- where reviews generate repeated escalations; and
- where additional training or playbook guidance may be needed.
Investigate escalations
Choose a workspace to see the escalations raised by each playbook. DraftPilot records the escalation when a review in Word calls for an escalation comment.
Repeated escalations may indicate that a playbook lacks an approved fallback, that its guidance is unclear or that the issue should always remain subject to specialist review.
Before changing the playbook:
- inspect the relevant review activity;
- check the underlying contract context;
- confirm the intended position with the playbook owner; and
- test the updated rule before wider use.
Do not treat the number of escalations alone as proof that a playbook rule is wrong.
Review licences and adoption
The Documents view logs documents run against a playbook. Use it alongside your organisation’s agreed KPIs and data-handling policy.
Use the inactive-users view to find users who may need support or accounts that may no longer need a licence. Check employment, leave and role context before changing access.
Export the available data to Excel when you need to analyse it outside DraftPilot or combine it with your internal adoption reporting.
